Lecturers, staff, and students at Mien Dong University of Technology (MIT Uni.) in Dong Nai have just launched a project to produce 4,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to serve the Covid-19 preparedness activities in the southern province.
The items are manufactured in line with the World Health Organization guidelines, combined with the university’s own formula, ensuring disinfection, fragrance, and skin protection. The product has been tested at the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Youth League and the Students Association of the university are making the hand sanitizer bottles at its Experiment Center with the guidance of Faculty of Pharmacy lecturers to ensure product quality. In the first two days, the students produced more than 500 bottles.
Currently, the dormitory of the university is being used as a Covid-19 isolation site in Thong Nhat District, and a portion of these products will be used for the site. In the coming days, the students will continue to produce the bottles and supply in batches to Dong Nai province. It is expected that 4,000 bottles of hand sanitizer from the university will be used for Covid-19 preparedness activities in the province and this year’s Summer Volunteers Campaign.
