MIT Uni. celebrates Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and Sports Day

Every year, around the time of mid-November, teachers and students of Mien Dong University of Technology (MIT Uni.) are extremely excited about two big events that are the university founding anniversary on November 11 and the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day on November 20. The year 2021 is more surprising when the opening day of the new school year 2021-2022 coincides with this time, making the atmosphere at MIT Uni. more bustling.

Vietnam Teachers’ Day is a day to cherish the spirit of respect for teachers, a beauty in Vietnamese’s tradition of studiousness. Teaching is a noble profession but also full of hardship. To convey to learners the treasures of extensive knowledge as well as their passion, teachers need to have patience, empathy, and really put their whole heart into each lesson.

Because of this special event, the university and its staff organized the Sports Festival to commemorate the university founding day on November 11 and Vietnam Teachers’ Day on November 20. The sports day received an enthusiastic response not only from lecturers in the university but also from beloved guests in Dong Nai Province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sports Day, Assoc. Prof. Dr Pham Van Song – President of MIT Uni. encouraged the sports spirit of everyone and wished the competing teams to keep the fighting spirit of fair-play, he said: “This is an opportunity for universities to exchange, learn, and improve their health towards long-term goals in the future”.
