Hong Bang International University (HIU) recently kicked off the project “Creating HIU artworks together with students”.
This is the first time in a higher education institution, students can enjoy “a lecture hall without tables and chairs” with a team of lecturers to create a unique artwork on the “HIU ship of knowledge”.

More than 1,200 students from high schools in Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Van Tang High School, Binh Tan High School, Nguyen Van Tang High School, Binh Thanh Trung High School, Dang Khoa School, iSchool Kien Giang, iSchool Soc Trang… joined the launch of the unique project.
HIU students “learn” from the walls of the university.
The project was implemented from April 24 to June 30, 2021 with the participation of lecturers and students in the majors of Industrial Fine Arts, Architecture, Multimedia under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

This is an opportunity for the participating students to demonstrate their abilities and practice the theoretical knowledge they have learned. Specifically, HIU Architecture and Industrial Fine Arts students “learn” on the walls along the classroom corridors by designing and painting pictures featuring HIU students’ future careers, nature, landscape, fine arts, architecture, cultures of the 5 continents and especially “virtual living” corners for students. It is expected that more than 100 wall paintings will be created by students for the 10-floor HIU building “Ship of Knowledge.

This work of art will be spread through writings, photos, video clips by HIU Multimedia students, with their skills. It is expected that about 200 products of various kinds such as articles, stories, interviews, reports, TV news will be posted on HIU’s internal communication channels during the project implementation period.
HIU alumni with success in the three mentioned majors are joining the project together with lecturers who are guiding the group of students supposed to complete the project.
