In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the economy, in order to support parents with financial troubles, universities and colleges in the NHG system have cooperated with the Maritime Joint Stock Bank (MSB )to implement a loan support policy 0% interest within a 12 month period. Parents are instructed to register for an MSB Bank credit card, after completing the procedure, students can immediately enroll without having to pay tuition fees at the beginning of the school year. This fee will be divided into installments to MSB within 12 months, with an interest rate of “0 VND” (0%) for a tuition package of up to 500 million VND.
In addition, the schools also support 5% tuition reduction for the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022 for existing students, students can split the first semester tuition fee into 2 separate payments. In particular, the tuition fee of all students remains the same throughout the semester.

In order to maximize student support during the pnademic, universities and colleges have opened online application submission and consultation, answering questions to online admission.
To enroll online, candidates only need to perform a few basic steps such as: Check the admission information (via the admission notice), prepare relevant documents such as rofesisonal photo, ID card, temporary diploma or certificate received froma provisional high school graduation, certificate of high school exam results, transcripts, medical examination paper, etc. Candidates can then send them to the admission email or access the university’s online admission website of the school they have applied to and pay tuition fees by bank account transfer. The school will return the confirmation of tuition payment and complete the admission procedure to the student. Universities also arrange 24/7 counseling staff to help candidates complete the procedure as soon as possible.

Universities and colleges in the NHG system have organized many online exchange programs to answer questions for students, help them discover their majors, faculties, schools, and lecturers. In particular, Hoa Sen University has organized online seminars and workshops on the subject to help students learn about majors, interact with lecturers and industry experts. Hong Bang International University introduced a number of online activites with HIU Live livestreams, Online consulting, HIU on TOP. Gia Dinh University also created many meetings between new students and program directors, faculty and departments leaders through the livestream series “Meeting with with School Board and new students”. Ba Ria – Vung Tau University introduced BVUers Connect program, BVU Pandemic Talkshow, Mien Dong of Technology organized a video clip contest “MUT and stories of the epidemic season”, Hoa Sen College held an online ceremony to welcome the freshmen class, etc. Universities also support counseling on room and board, dormitories, part-time jobs so that students can have information as soon as they return to learning on campus.
Although students may have not be able to directly go to school to experience the dynamism and modernity of the university environment, online programs have partly provided the necessary information for young people to prepare for student life.
