Unit 5 in the PYP curriculum, titled “How We Organize Ourselves”, allows SNA 3rd graders to learn about some business, as well as what drives the consumption cycle, to set up a business.
As the need to use facial masks every day is strongly increasing while people often lose them, students have started to design mask hangers with various shapes and colors using laser printers right at the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) room. All SNA 3rd graders have developed a mini business model and took turns practicing the roles in advertising, marketing, counter sales, and mobile sales. And after 1 week of implementation, the junior students donated all profits to the Saigon Children’s Charity.
